About DaniMarieAUC

My name is Dani (she/they), and I am a visually impaired, queer creator and disability/accessibility advocate.

My creation journey began back in the days of MySpace, but now I enjoy making just about anything I can get my hands on: videos, photos, graphics, digital drawings, streams, music, and even crochet!

Currently, my focus is on Twitch streaming, accessibility and inclusion consulting, and looking for ways to encourage others and myself to be our most authentic selves

On Stream

While on stream I do a variety of things:

  • Gaming
  • Accessibility chats
  • Acoustic music
  • Crochet creations
  • Art and graphic design
  • Deep thoughtful chats
  • General silliness

What Else?

Accessibility & DEI Consulting

If you're looking for accessibility or diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting, my experience is as follows:

  • Video game accessibility testing
  • Accessibility evaluation, report writing, and results presentation
  • Panel discussions on educational environments, mental health in gaming, and physical and digital accessibility
  • Website and app accessibility testing
  • Mental health and disability focused readings for dialogue and story
  • Albinism and visual impairment consultations for authors and other creators

Such a Nerd...

Otherwise, you can find me around working on something creative or spending a LOT of time trying to catch up on something sci-fi or fantasy. I love to read and watch TV, listen to a wide variety of music, and travel as often as I can.

What Am I Doing Now?

I'm currently looking for more full time work while plotting a big move across the country.

A Bit More About Me

My educational background is in psychology and clinical mental health counseling. I am very passionate about mental health and education. Throughout my educational journey, I experienced discrimination and barriers put in place by our education and mental health systems. These are also topics I freely talk about, and I hope that we can find ways to improve these systems, so that fewer people experiences what I did.

Aside from that, I am learning more about responsive web design and web and document accessibility, so that I can use those skills in the future to make our world and the internet more accessible for everyone.
